Eugene Conti was my loving uncle. he was saving lives. in the name of the lord may his spirit rest in peace.

Dear Barbara, I don’t know if you will remember me, but I met you and Eugene as we were all striving to sell books we had written. You made a special point to meet me at a local craft show to complete the transaction of purchasing my book. All this to say, I was so shocked to just now see Eugene’s obituary. I cannot tell you how sad I was knowing that his book adventure had come to an end. It was a dream you two shared together and to which you applied yourselves wholeheartedly. Please know that you are in my prayers during this difficult time. May God lift you up and bring comfort as only He can.

Barbara I was so distress to read Gene’s obituary in the Fincastle Herald. He was truly a unique fellow who gave so much to the world. I always enjoyed our visits at his check-ups. It was an honor and privilege to have served him. My prayers at this time are for God’s continuing strength and peace to be with you. Clarke

Dear Barbara Conti and family, I am so sorry you are in pain. I was blessed to work with Dr Conti at Halifax Regional ER. He often talked about you two riding motorcycles and up in the blue ridge. My husband and I rode, too. He was an excellent physician and a very caring human. I lost my Gene in 2016. I am so sorry you lost yours. It helped me to realize that some others never have the opportunity to love like that. My God be with you.

Dear Mrs Conti and family. Im so very sorry for your untimely loss of Dr Conti. He and I worked together at Halifax in Roanoke Rapids for many years. He was always so very respectful to the nurses and would listen as well. He treated everyone the same. He was kind and caring . The thing that I will remember the most other than his political views especially on healthcare was the unending amount of love he had for you, Mrs Conti. Whenever you would call in the ER and speak with him he always was so happy that it was you. Being in close spaces we would often hear “ I love you see you a little later”. What a beautiful marriage and expression of love for each other. When I heard of his passing my first thought was of you and the devastation you would feel. We’ve never met but you have to be a wonderful kind loving lady too. You made him happy and I know memories are very precious at this time.
